Terms of sale.

What happens when you order, what we promise, and what we ask of you. In plain English.

Draft, under legal review

Draft — under legal review

This is a working draft of our policy. It’s being reviewed before online ordering opens, so details may still change. Anything that isn’t decided yet says so plainly.

These terms

These terms apply when you buy from Achilleion (“we”, “us”) on this website. By placing an order you agree to them, along with our returns policy, warranty and shipping policy.

Ordering

Online ordering opens once pricing is final. When it does:

  • You check out on Stripe’s secure payment page. We never see or store your card number.
  • Your order is accepted when your payment goes through and we email your order confirmation.
  • If we can’t accept an order, for example because of a pricing error or because we can’t deliver to your address, we tell you and refund you in full.

No reservations. We don’t take reservations, deposits or pre-orders. Nothing on this site holds a unit, a price or a date for you until your order is confirmed.

Price and tax

Prices are in US dollars. The price, the delivery charge and the sales tax are all shown before you pay.

  • Delivery charges include everything needed to get it to you: crating or pallet, and liftgate.
  • Sales tax is calculated at checkout: at our Apple Valley, CA facility’s rate for pickup, or for your delivery address.

Ready dates and delays

Your order confirmation states the date your order will be ready for pickup or will ship. If no date is stated, that date is 30 days after your order.

If we can’t make that date, we tell you before it passes, with a new date or an honest “we don’t know yet”, and you choose:

  • A short delay (a new date no more than 30 days later): you can cancel for a full refund, or do nothing and your order continues.
  • A longer or open-ended delay: we need your OK to keep your order. If we don’t hear from you, we cancel it and refund you in full.
  • Any further delay: we always need your OK again, or we cancel and refund.

You answer from your order status page, linked in every email we send about your order. Refunds for card payments are made within one billing cycle.

Cancellations

You can always cancel for a full refund if we miss your ready date, as described above.

Cancelling for any other reason: these terms are confirmed here before ordering opens.

Pickup

Pickup is free at our Apple Valley, CA facility. We email you when your order is ready and set a pickup time with you.

  • Bring a photo ID that matches the cardholder or the authorized pickup name you gave at checkout, plus your order number.
  • Bring a vehicle that fits it. We help you load. See pickup details.

We hold ready orders for you and send reminders. How long we hold an order, and what happens if it isn’t collected, is confirmed here before ordering opens.

Delivery and freight

It’s too big for parcel carriers, so it travels by truck: our own truck for local delivery, or LTL freight, curbside with a liftgate. We or the carrier call to schedule.

  • Responsibility for the dummy passes to you when it’s delivered to you, or when you pick it up.
  • Inspect it before you sign. Note any damage on the delivery receipt, take photos and tell us right away.

Full details: shipping and delivery.

Returns and warranty

Returns are covered by our returns policy and defects by our limited warranty. Both are summarized beside the buy button before you pay.

Training risk

Striking training is a physical activity with a real risk of injury, to you and to anyone nearby. Set up, use and check the dummy as our care guide and safety guidance describe, wear the right protective gear, and supervise anyone under 18.

You choose how hard and how often you train, and you accept the risks that come with training, to the extent the law allows.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, we aren’t responsible for losses that come from misuse, from ignoring the setup or safety guidance, or from changes made to the product.

Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under California law that can’t be limited, including your rights under the Song-Beverly Consumer Warranty Act.

California law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California.

Changes

We may update these terms. The terms that apply to your order are the ones posted when you placed it.
